Demographic watch...Canadas immigrating

Papa goose is keeping vigil with Mother goose as they attempt to bring a new generation into being. He stood his ground bravely if a little nervous as Angel & I gingerly crept up to supervise. We went to check on things because several gulls were crowding Mama and her nest and they would gladly have feasted on the contents thereof. Mama can barely be discerned over his right shoulder in the distance sitting on the nest. (You need to click the picture to view it close up.)
But Mama seemed unphased by it all. And Papa was standing by...We retreated and await the hopeful tidings...
