A pruning before & after

This is a ceanothus, in the foreground. California lilac.
There is a bough of it that is hanging down into the headspace of whomsoever might be passing on the stairs. It is also obscuring a view I hope will be preferred to having leaves comb through your hair as you pass by.

Stones along the wall sometimes come loose from their mortar bed.

This one would make a lasting impression on someone's toe if it came
crashing down after inadvertently being leaned upon.


Repair consists of removing all loose debris and applying a two part masonry
epoxy to the bed and replacing the stone.
