Ishimwe...

means "to give Him thanks " in Kinyarwanda, the language of Rwanda. We visited with a couple living in the bay area, but whose roots are in Rwanda, and whose vision is to help develop the Rwandans who will help develop Rwanda. Expanding the orphanage they started into a school will extend development among new generations. Building bio-organic fish farms in Rwanda will nourish those growing minds with healthy protein. Pictured below are Faith, Hope, and the family that lives at Ishimwe. Visit them at http://www.ishimwe.org/

Both God and man showing off...

and the results are spectacular.

housecleaning

After last week's leak from rain 'precipitated' an electrical problem, I decided we needed to clean the roof of debris; leaf litter and 'such'.  I don't know that it had ever been done before; there was a whole ecosystem going on up there.
Incidently, this is January, and it's freezing in Chicago.  We are in tanktops here on the left edge, 70 degrees.
