I'll call these the sea-steps and the cypress-steps. Repairs to redwood sea steps being complete, it makes it easier to get down to the water's edge, to launch the kayak, go free-diving, or just comb the rocky beach. The cypress steps, from a tree downed in last winter's storms, are replacing pine log-round steps that are dissolving in the dirt. Cypress steps will likely hold up better to soil, moisture and organisms.
