the hawk moth, hummingbird-look-alike

We found another one of these hanging around.  Meanwhile, Jeannette was describing a teensey-weensy hummingbird we thought we saw to my brother-in-law, and he explained to her about a certain moth that looks like a hummingbird in flight and feeds on flowers.  She looked it up on the web, and this is what she found.

Well they don't look like hummingbirds when they aren't flying and hovering at flowers. If we meet anymore of them, get a side view picture of the face. They have such big eyes! Lloyd said that is to ward off predators.
The hummingbird society says it is their most FAQ larety and that the other name for it is a white spinx or white lined spinx.
